ABOUT ABOUT

Mental Health First Aid is a public education program designed to teach everyday citizens the skills to help another person who is struggling with a mental health concern or crisis. This evidence based program provides a comprehensive overview of the most common mental health issues and a step by step action plan.

This session is being delivered in two parts, July 26 from 5:30pm-9:00pm, and June 28 from 5:30pm-9:00pm. Participants must attend both sessions to be certified. Format also includes two hours of self paced, online instruction to be completed prior to the session on July 26. Registrants who are unable to complete it, will be required to find an alternative session to attend. A link for the online portion will be available after registration is completed and participants are fully enrolled.

Registration closes on July 20.

Each participant receives access to the Mental Health First Aid online manual, and certification by the National Council for Behavioral Health as a "Mental Health First Aider." Certification is valid for a period of 3 years, and then renewable online.
